SEH GmbH, a Swiss machine developer located at Widnau, has filed a patent on an entirely new high-speed low cost festooning technology, which is in the design phase presently. Roberto E. Rahn, owner of RER Business Technology GmbH and the former owner of Kortec GmbH, one of the festooning technology pioneers, has been piloting the SEH festooning project for 1 year. Edelmann Technology GmbH & Co. KG entered into a cooperation agreement with SEH GmbH and RER Business Technology GmbH to offer, in addition to spooling, worldwide solutions for festooning nonwovens, composite and airlaid products. There is specialized design, development and software knowhow for small units at SEH. Combined technological know-how within the Edelmann group, including PSA Technology and BW Technology, will provide all the capabilities necessary for the realization of large-scale plants from pre-slitting, unwinding and slitting thru festooning to compressed packaging. In other news, Edelmann, a provider of technology for winding and slitting hygiene nonwoven roll goods has introduced a new product. Besides in-line and off-line winders, and in cooperation with PSA Technology, Edelmann is now launching the AutoSpooler. The company says this vanguard spooling equipment is opening new fields of applications and markets. For more details please visit the Edelmann booth 701.
